- A couple is made up of two individuals who come together to spend a life together. Each individual comes with their own trauma, love language, coping skills, identity, beliefs and perceptions
- These factors may clash and/or compliment each other in a relationship. Understanding these factors and working as a couple to overcome any aspects that create barriers to a healthy marriage or relationship is important.
- Couples therapy can be an extension of therapy or it can be a separate entity the individual
